This is a watercolor for a new story about a car in a junkyard. The main character in the story is a yellow taxi (under the tree in the upper left corner). He has been hauled away to the country and left to fall apart. To learn more about this story and how I make a book click here.
I've always liked junkyards out in the country, the ones with the old cars in the woods or fields gone to seed. There was a time when I would go looking for parts to keep my car going, and wile I was there I couldn't resist looking around to see all the good stuff, the old trucks and school buses.
It is easy to see every car has a story... maybe more than one.
